Qualified Arbitrators

Arbitrator Services

Arbitration is the use of a private judge to equitably settle your disagreements. Arbitration may be used to resolve disputes relating to the division of assets but may not be used to determine child custody disputes.  Only the parties can agree to child custody issues and, if they cannot agree, a judge will intervene and decide for them.

The arbitration process takes place outside of court; the two sides select an impartial third party known as an arbitrator. The couple will agree in advance to comply with the arbitrator's decision, and will participate in a hearing where both sides present evidence and testimony. Based on the evidence presented, the arbitrator makes a decision which is usually final and binding. Many parents find this process to be faster and less costly than the formal court process.

If you have a family dispute that requires arbitration, the qualified arbitrators at CMG Mediation and Family Services are prepared to resolve your disagreement.
